Frank L. Flautt, Jr.
Co-Founder, Sandcastle Resorts
Mr. Flautt began his career in hospitality in 1963, joining Holiday inns, Inc. as Director of U.S. Franchise Sales and became Senior Vice President of International Franchise Sales, which granted licenses to all franchises outside of the United States. After a successful 6 years, he left Holiday Inns to become the President of W.B Johnson Properties (owner of the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company). In 1974, Mr. Flautt formed Flautt Properties, Inc., which offered a full range of real estate services including development, construction, supervision, management and accounting. Executives of Holiday Inns, Inc. named 8 of the hotels managed by Flautt Properties in its worldwide system's Top Twenty Inns. Additionally, the company won numerous development awards. In December 1990, when Mr. Flautt sold his 100% interest in Flautt Properties to more actively pursue the expansion of Sandcastle Resorts, the company was managing 18 hotels. In 1990 in addition to continuing to develop hotels, Mr. Flautt began developing condominium projects throughout north and south Florida.

Fred V. Alias
Co-Founder, Sandcastle Resorts
Fred V. Alias began his distinguished career in the hotel industry after graduating from the University of Mississippi with a BBA degree in marketing and sales. After graduation, he joined Holiday Inns, Inc. of Memphis, Tennessee as National Sales Representative in Los Angeles, California for the then 1,100 inn hotel chain. He was ultimately promoted to Assistant to the Senior Vice President of Marketing for Holiday Inns, Inc., in charge of all international sales offices outside the continental United States. Offices under his direction included Tokyo, London, Paris and Zurich. Alias left Holiday Inns in 1973 to join Atlanta-based W.B. Johnson Properties Inc. (owner of the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company). During his nine years with this prestigious firm, he served as Vice President of Marketing, Vice President of Development, Executive Vice President of Operations, and ultimately as Chief Operating Officer. Under his direction, the firm went from owning and operating five Holiday Inns to a network of 12 of the largest Holiday Inns on the East Coast, in addition to the development and ownership of five Marriott hotels. Alias developed the 1,500-room Orlando Marriott, which at the time and remains today the largest franchise ever granted by Marriott Corporation in the United States. From 1975 until 1982 Mr. Alias was the Vice Chairman of W.B. Johnson Properties, Inc. owner of the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company. In 1982, Alias and Frank Flautt, Jr. formed Sandcastle Resorts, Inc.

Robert T. Kamm
President & CEO
Robert T. Kamm,
CPA, began his career in public accounting
with Ernst & Ernst after graduating from Arkansas State University in 1973. Later, he became an audit manager with Rhea & Ivey,
a regional accounting firm where he had the responsibility
for the firm's larger clients in various industries
including manufacturing, construction, retail and wholesale
sales, medical practices and hospitality.
In 1982, Mr. Kamm joined Flautt Properties, Inc. - Sandcastle Resorts, Inc. He formulated the structure and design of the condominium hotel projects, negotiated joint ventures and financing, evaluated and analyzed acquisitions and dispositions for the companies. Mr. Kamm also spent two years as a Director of Operations for Flautt Properties, Inc. Mr. Kamm has had an ownership interest in eleven hotels with Mr. Flautt.
After the sale of Flautt Properties, Inc., Mr. Kamm was in charge of the development of the Beachwalk Condominium project in Destin, Florida. In 1992, Mr. Kamm left Flautt to help a fast food franchisee successfully restructure the operations and financing of the company. Mr. Kamm, in 1996, rejoined Sandcastles as its Chief Financial Officer and was promoted to President and CEO in 2004. Mr. Kamm is an equity owner in the management companies.

Bob Earwood
Bob Earwood began his career in 1980 as a project superintendent with Holiday Inns-Worldwide and was involved in some of the most widely recognized hotels in the Holiday Inn system. With over 24 years experience in this field, Mr. Earwood has been responsible for more than $400 million of both renovation and new construction projects. Projects include a 124-unit high-rise condominium ($40 million) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a 165-unit high-rise condominium ($38 million) in Destin, Florida, a 113-suite Hawthorn Suites ($9 million) in Memphis, Tennessee, a $40 million expansion of the Hilton- Sandestin Beach including a 13,000 square foot Spa and a 241-room Hilton Hotel ($38 million) in Alexandria, Virginia. Other projects were a 110-room Hampton Inn ($7 million), a 97-suite Homewood Suites ($7 million) in Austin, Texas and a 154-unit high-rise condominium ($28 million in Destin, Florida).
Mr. Earwood, a graduate engineer, is responsible for all new construction, renovations and maintenance programs at the properties. He works directly with the architects and contractors with the design, management and administration of the projects. While employed at Holiday Inns- Worldwide, he was a member of the original design team that developed the Hampton Inn, Embassy Suite and Crowne Plaza concepts. This proved to be a monumental period for the hotel market, and the experience gained during this time has been utilized in forming a reputation as leader in the lodging and construction industries.

Don McQuade
VP of Operations
Don McQuade is Vice president of Operations for Sandcastle Resorts and Hotels. Prior to his current position he was the Chief Executive Officer of The Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa and was responsible for all administrative and executive functions for the 600-room resort hotel. He served as Vice-President and General Manager for the Hilton Sandestin beginning in January 1986.
A seasoned professional, McQuade began his career in hospitality in 1966. He is a graduate of Buffalo State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. His previous professional experience includes 12 years with Holiday Inns in Buffalo, New York, as well as the General Manager positions in New Orleans and Richmond, Virginia.
A leader in the tourism industry and the local community, McQuade has served as a board member on the Walton County Tourist Development Council for more than 10 years. He has also served on the board of The Boys and Girls Club of the Emerald Coast and represents The Hilton Sandestin on the Sandestin Resort Homeowners Association, as well as the Marriott Bay Point Resort and Spa in Panama City Beach Florida on the Bay Point Community Association.
For 20 years, since the Hilton Sandestin was first introduced to Northwest Florida, Don McQuade led the luxury hotel to its current status as the largest Gulf-front resort destination hotel on the Gulf Coast. Since opening, The Hilton Sandestin has evolved into a world-class destination resort hotel with its award-winning meeting facilities, Seagar's Prime Steaks & Seafood restaurant, Serenity by the sea Spa, Salon & Fitness Center and numerous other fine guest amenities. He lives at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort
